Sangria

Ingredients:

1 lemon 
1 lime 
1 orange 
1 1/2 cups brandy 
1/2 cup white sugar 
1 bottle dry, fruity red wine (Spanish wines are especially nice)
1 cup orange juice 
1 16-20 oz bottle club soda (I like Q club soda)
Other fruit--optional (strawberries, peaches, apples) 

Directions:

Slice the lemon, lime and orange into thin rounds and place in a large glass pitcher or bowl. 

Pour in the brandy, OJ, sugar and wine. 

Chill in refrigerator for 24 hours to develop the flavors, stirring several times during that 24 hours. 

When ready to serve, crush the fruit lightly with a wooden spoon and add delicate fruits like strawberries (do not crush them). Add the club soda and serve from a pitcher.
