Oven-roasted asparagus

Based on this recipe from AllRecipes.com.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bunch thin asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 3 Tbl olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
    • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

    • The following ingredients are optional:
  • 1-1/2 Tbl grated Parmesan cheese 
  • 1 clove garlic, minced 
  • 1 Tbl lemon juice

PREPARATION

1.  Preheat an oven to 425 degrees F. Oven shelf should be in the middle or lower middle.


2. Place the asparagus into a mixing bowl or casserole dish, and drizzle with the olive oil. Toss to coat the spears.

3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 

4. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garlic, if using them.

5. Arrange the asparagus onto a baking sheet in a single layer. 

6.  Bake in the preheated oven until just tender, 12 to 15 minutes depending on thickness. 

7. (Optional) Sprinkle with lemon juice just before serving.
