Orange Julius
Adapted from a What's Eating Dan recipe for a cocktail. He said it tastes like an Orange Julius from the mall in the 1990s. I had my first one in the mid 1980s. I'm gonna try this when I get the malic acid.
Consider making half a recipe to try it.
NOTE: Original recipe does NOT taste like Orange Julius. So it's been reworked. I increased the simple syrup and took out the malic acid. And significantly decreased the citric acid.
Ingredients
2 C orange juice
1/2 tsp citric acid
3 oz simple syrup
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
7 oz Cream or milk
Ice
Instructions
Mix the OJ and acid and whisk until dissolved. Add cream or milk, simple syrup and vanilla extract and mix. Add to a blender with ice and blend.
