Tips for brining, baking, and reheating turkey

To brine and bake:

1. Be sure you have a roasting pan or a disposable pan available!

2. Be prepared to move items from the fridge to the super-cooler in order to put turkey, stuffing, etc. in fridge. Make ice!

3. Cooking the turkey while other dishes are also cooking or staying warm (potatoes, stuffing, etc) will slow the cooking time quite a bit.

4. Be sure the oven rack is set low enough so the turkey can fit into the oven!

5. Cook the turkey until the thickest part of it is 160-165 degrees.


To reheat:

1. Oven to 275

2. Wrap pre-cut turkey pieces in aluminum foil, place on a wire cooling rack that sits in a rimmed cookie sheet, and place in oven.

3. Heat 20-45 mins until internal temperature is 130 degrees.
