Upside Down Puff Pastry

From TikTok

A lot of them use honey, even the savory ones.

I've tried so far the apple/cinnamon/brown sugar (notes: use more apples), pear/bacon/brie/honey (notes: use more pear and so yum), and cheese/hotdog (YUM notes: uses more pastry than the desserts).

Original recipe, and the recipe on the box says 400 degrees but we found the pastry got dark before it was fully cooked. 375 is a better temp.

Ingredients/Options

Apple/cinnamon/brown sugar
Banana/nutella
Onion/brie/thyme
Pepperoni/pasta sauce/mozzarella
Pesto/chicken/parmesean
Pear/bacon/brie (optional honey)
Sweet peppers/cream cheese
Pineapple/rum/brown sugar
Honey/apple
Honey/figs/ricotta cheese
Cherry tomato/fresh mozzarella
Evoo/balsamic vinegar/fresh mozzarella (sprinkle with shredded basil when serving)
Cream cheese/spinach mixture (see TikTok video saved in Baking)
Egg wash
Optional: powdered sugar for dusting the sweet/fruit ones

Instructions

Oven to 400 and when heated, turn down to 375.

Cut the puff pastry into the shapes/size you want, like rectangles, squares, or circles or something else.

Place ingredients on lined baking sheet, smaller than the size/shape of the puff pastry you made.

Top with puff pastry, and use fork to press down the edges. Brush with egg wash.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Serve upside down, topped with whatever fresh toppings you want.
